It’s time to pull your socks up for enthusiastic discovery where I would take you through the experiences of trip to wonderful Wales. One of another amazing place in the bucket list of the people residing in UK.

The most enjoyable and pre-planned 2 days trip that I have ever had with my friends. The cameras were all set to capture the scenic beauty. Let me walk you through the attractions of the visited places in a few words. When it’s North Wales, the first place that strike us is Snowdonia, the mountainous heart of southern Britain. The place is known for its scenic beauty with mountains, lakes, castles and waterfalls.

Day 1

The tickets were booked online from Reading to Bangor . The journey from Reading to Bangor in train was just like travel through nature’s beauty which was just a start. The funniest thing was we never knew that the Bangor station arrived, as the boards in station were in Welsh language. It was that fraction of time when our eyes captured a board that was written in English and managed to get down without missing the stop. As the buses were not that frequent we could find time to control the hunger alarm from Domino’s Pizza located in Bangor.

Generally it’s told that we tend to lose the most lovable thing, yeah I was about to lose my camera, but thanks to the person who gave a shout and reminded on what I was about to lose. We boarded the bus towards IDAN House B&B located in Llanberis which is about 30min journey.

The IDAN house was looked after by cute couples who were very old by age and young by  service. We got warm welcome and our rooms were shown. We refreshed quickly and headed to our first destination, UK’s most popular destination, Snowdonia via Snowdon mountain rail. The Snowdonia Mountain rail station was walk-able from our guest house.

Reaching the Snowdonia Summit
Snowdonia Summit

The Snowdonia Mountain is the highest mountain in Wales, at an elevation of 1,085 meters above sea level. The time duration to reach the summit was approximately one hour. The train had a real mix of people. One women we saw was in summer Capri and few were well prepared, wherein I was not that well prepared. I was in my casuals with a Nike pull over, with a high confidence that I would use the pull over in case of any necessity, but later I realized it was an over confident, that I could with-stand the cold. The weather at top of the summit was -8 degree Celsius .The weather didn’t discourage me to take the snap without a pull over 🙂 🙂 🙂 . There was facility for the visitors to grab hot coffee.

I was just loving the moment, which was 1085 meters above sea level, and now it’s a wonderful page in the book of my memory.

Information:

People planning to climb the mountain,  always remember to wear appropriate clothing and footwear before venturing out into the mountains and do not forget to check Snowdon Summit weather.

Every one including me were busy capturing the moments into their respective cameras. It was the most exciting moment of reaching the summit which is one of three mountains climbed as part of the National Three Peaks Challenge .

Information:

The National Three Peaks Challenge is an event in which participants attempt to climb the highest mountains of England, Scotland and Wales within 24 hours. It is frequently used to raise money for charitable organizations.

We will get approximately 30min to spend time in summit. Time was up and we all were set to return back via Snowdon Mountain Railway. Some people opted  to climb down the moment , which is not always advisable if the weather is bad.

It was almost 7:30PM, again time to serve our hunger. The wonderful views of streets, mind blowing gardens and the marvelously constructed churches just stole the time. The arrival of the moon reminded us to speed up the hunt for the restaurants, and finally we found an Asian restaurant ‘SITAR Indian take away’. the food was good, can rate the taste in the scale of 3 out 5.

Just 2 min away from the guest house we had beautiful lake which whispered me to spend time with it. Since it was 9:00 PM and had to freshen up after long journey we went to our respective rooms. There was something that I was missing after reaching the room and then realized that, it was my mind which was still stuck near the lake side. Not even a second thought, after finishing the dinner we headed towards lakeside and spent time for a while. Bright moon, shining stars, gentle breeze, ripples on the water form and soothing relaxing music just made the night beautiful and remarkable. Slowly we headed to our nests after the joyful day for a sound sleep.

Here we come to the end of Day 1, with lot of expectation and excitements awaiting Day 2.

Will be back with discovery of Day 2, until then Happy Blogging 🙂 🙂
