What is the difference between dreaming and living the dream?

According to me, when we dream, at some point we doubt the possibility of fulfilling/ achieving it. But when we live our dreams we get motivated on dreaming more and all our dreams seems to be possible if we have passion to fulfill.

My one such dream was to travel to Maldives. It was just not to travel to Maldives but to wake up to the turquoise blue oceans in water villa. Approximately telling my dream is 7yrs. old. When I dreamt this, I had no clue on the budget and the location. But on fetching the details I could understand that the dream would take time achieve but not impossible. I do check on every off peak and peak season to know its rates to ensure if it matches my budget, but it don’t. But recently one of my friends introduced one of his friends who runs the tours and travel agency “Contento Tourism”. I just told my requirement to him which was just 12 days before. And the package that he arranged did complete justice to the requirement that was shared to him just 12 days before.  Finally, we had our tickets and the voucher in our inbox, and we were all set to pack.

We had a connecting flight from Kochi as agency couldn’t manage to get the direct flight from Bangalore. The flight from Bangalore was at 6:55 AM and we reached Kochi by 8:15 AM. Since it was domestic airport we had landed, we had to collect our baggage and do the check-in from International airport to Male. We had our tour co-coordinator waiting for us in Koch airport so that he could accompany us till International Airport in this we could thank him to make our dream come true.

 

After reaching International Airport, though we thought we could hold back our hunger, but that didn’t happen, and we quickly grabbed a burger from the Burger King. As we calmed our hunger down, we quickly clicked some photos in airport. By the time we finished clicking photos it was time to board the flight by 12:35 PM.

View before landing to Male airport was something amazing, which would increase your anxiety to experience the paradise. And finally, our flight landed in Male airport which was a pretty small airport comparatively. After getting down we had to stamp the visa which are given on arrival.

The airport has the counter for the respective resorts and one representative will be waiting for us to boat to escort us to the respective island. Also, there is an option to take the sim cards with respective data package. As the we were not given the Wifi connection and the wifi connection is payable which is very costly. Therefore, we had taken a new sim Ooreedoo which was 15$ for 7 days with 4GB data per day.

As we came out our representative waiting for us.  As our resort was 45min in sea plane from airport we were taken to the waiting lounge of Trans Maldivian airlines from the airport in a minibus.

Initially we were supposed to be board the seaplane by 3:45 PM since we were the only ones on that day to the resort our pick up had to be combined with next trip of sea plane which was at 4:45 PM which was not an expected from the TMA (Trans Maldivian Airlines), as we were pick up was delayed, we were offered complimentary lunch. After lunch, we had to kill our 2.5 hours in the waiting longue and  after that by 5:15 PM we had to board the sea plane, though we started getting bored up in longue for 2.5 hours, but the excitement within us didn’t turn us off and were all set to board the sea plane by. 4:50 PM.

Sea plane was also a different experience that we have never tried before, which could be counted on the book of experience ?. We had other tourists also who were needed to be dropped on the way resorts before us. Therefore, we reached the resort by 6:00PM. Upon approaching the deck of the resort, we noticed 4 hotel staff waving and ready to welcome us. It was such a heartfelt welcome.

We were escorted by a resort staff to give an insight on the resort and escort us till our water villa. As we reached our water villa, we relaxed and freshened up for dinner. The dinner space arranged was giving a soothing feeling and gave feel of connected to place because it was a sand floor. After dinner we spent some quality time together near the beach and some time in the balcony of our villa with ocean facing view absorbing ourselves in the beautiful moments of life and also discussing the next days plan though not great plans but yes some lazy plans ?
