Hello Friends,

I am back with another travel Series of Dubai also known as “City of Dreams”. This trip was planned long before but could come to execution by 2024 December 😊.

Let me put it in this way, one bucket list item from long and now here I have ticked it off. I am talking about the Dubai Skydiving which was my long time wish and the reason to plan this travel.

So, in the upcoming blogs I will be sharing my experience in Dubai and itineraries that was planned and the tips that might help you during your travel.

To mention about the below click, it was just a co-incident that happened while we trying to capture the images from the flight and this caught camera eye 😊.

Since we had a 3+ year old toddler we thought morning flight would be better option and therefore we booked morning Emirates flight and landed in Dubai by 2:30PM and there we had our friend to receive us and was those were the wonderful people with whom we had plan to stay for next 5 days.

Since we were a little tired, we didn’t plan for anything as a part of schedule and thought let the day go relax mode. By 5:30 we headed to DXB airport free Zone metro station and headed towards Al-Ghubaiba metro station, and the walk led us to Bur Dubai.

Bur Dubai

When it comes to Bur Dubai, this place is a fusion of residential and commercial areas and thus makes it a great place to explore and feel the Old Dubai.

We quickly grabbed a Tea and then took Abra across the creek to Deira. Abra is a traditional wooden boat that we can find at few different points in Bur Dubai to hop on to explore the other side of the creek and why not explore when the fare is just 1AED for one side which is easily affordable. This traditional boat ride offered us a stunning view of city’s heritage and culture.

The Bur Dubai Abra experience should always be not to miss experience because its highly affordable let the will let you immerse yourself in the traditional charm of Dubai.

While crossing the creek to Deira, we can also visit one of the Emirates ancient and traditional markets, Dubai Gold Souk.

Gold Souk

Dubai trip is incomplete without a visit to Gold Souk 😊The walk through the attractive traditional gold market , the glittering bazaars were so unbelievable because may be we have not seen or experienced such long stretch of Gold market stalls which showcase a variety of  eye-catching products that will tempt us to buy :D. Since we had zero plans to buy gold we didn’t, but if we would have continued in the market, we would have definitely landed up buy something.

When we say gold market, it was just not only and only Gold, but we could also spot so many shops of perfume which are customizable based on the request and also the spice shops and to mention the spice shops, so many spices and smells and flavors and color, was simply wonderful experience that one should give a try without a miss.

The time just flew and was time to wrap the day and return to our nest with a wonderful memory that started with exploring Bur Dubai to taking a Abra, which took us to the Deira side of Dubai Creek and then to Gold Souk of Dubai which was a wonderful experience.

While wrapping the day, mind is excited and planning for the Day 2 in Dubai, so see you all in next post, where I would be sharing my Dubai experience 🙂 .
